Overview
Furukawa wrote a novel for this exhibition, something that happened for the first time. Up until that point, she had only expressed images from a reader’s point of view. In the exhibition, both a writer’s and reader’s viewpoints were made into the work shown. By writing a novel, she felt that the words took a more flexible, transformable shape similar to clay. By creating sculptures from those words, she was able to sense her fantasies taking a more concrete form.
