Solo Exhibition “FLICKER”, Gallery Side 2, Tokyo, Japan 2006 (December 22nd – January 26th).
I wrote a novel for this exhibition, something that happened for the first time. Up until that point, I have only expressed images from a reader’s point of view. In the exhibition, both a writer’s and reader’s viewpoints were made into the work shown. By writing a novel, I felt that the words took a more flexible, transformable shape similar to clay. By creating sculptures from those words, I was able to sense my fantasies taking a more concrete form.
